Dior Longoza Garden

Set deep in the humid, pristine rainforests of Ranomafana, the Dior Longoza Garden offers a breathtaking sensory escape where high-end French cosmetic science and spectacular tropical agroforestry seamlessly intertwine. Established in 1992 after Dior researchers identified the plant’s unique properties, this highly specialized open-air laboratory invites visitors to understand a pristine haven of sustainable beauty cultivation. The entire estate centers on the preservation and harvest of Longoza (Aframomum angustifolium), an extremophile plant known as the “eternal flower” due to its legendary ability to regenerate indefinitely, even after fires.

Highlights:

🌸 Ancestral Hands-On Harvesting: Observe local village communities hand-collect mature, scarlet longoza fruits once a year in accordance with age-old savoir-faire, protecting the surrounding wild ecosystem.

🔬 Eco-Transformation Seed Extraction: Trace the meticulous multi-step extraction science handled by local Malagasy women, who gently open the fruits, separate the pulp, wash, and sun-dry the black seeds to unlock premium active anti-aging molecules.
