The Elms | Te Papa Tauranga
The Elms | Te Papa Tauranga garden stands as one of the oldest European gardens in New Zealand, located south of the Bay of Islands. It was established by the Church Missionary Society (CMS) between 1834 and 1844, similar to the gardens at The Treaty House in Waitangi. Both gardens feature a mix of indigenous Maori and European cultivated plants, along with significant archaeological elements.
