Spirited Garden

Spirited Garden showcases a stunning collection of bonsai plants set within a natural landscape inspired by volcanic cones and water features. Originally named Bunjae Arpia, the garden was rebranded in 2007 to celebrate its 15th anniversary and to enhance its status as an international attraction. The garden"s journey began in 1963 when its founder, Seong Beom-yeong, transformed a rocky wasteland in Jeju into a beautiful oasis. This remarkable transformation has drawn attention from notable figures, including Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao from China, Nakasone from Japan, and Kim Yongsun from North Korea. Today, visitors can admire around 400 trees on display, along with various attractions such as stone walls and towers made from Jeju"s volcanic stones, the largest artificial waterfall in Jeju, and a serene pond teeming with large carp at the waterfall"s base.
