Planted walkway (Promenade Plantée or Coulée verte René-Dumont) is a 4.7 km (2.9 mi) elevated linear space constructed on former railway tracks in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, France. It officially opened its doors in 1993. This picturesque stroll, reminiscent of New York City"s High Line, meanders along a former viaduct and railway. It"s a feast for the eyes, featuring stunning arched trellises adorned with climbing roses, vibrant perennial flower beds, and a delightful array of flowering trees such as cherry, linden, plum, and hazelnut. Along the route, thoughtfully positioned benches encourage visitors to pause and soak in the beauty.
