Orchid Festival (Festival de la Orquídea de Concepción).
Bolivia may be one of the least explored and most overlooked countries in terms of biodiversity in the tropics, but it boasts over 3,000 identified orchid species. The highest concentration of these beautiful orchids can be found in the mountain jungles of Yungas, close to La Paz, and in the lowlands of Santa Cruz. Each year, the Orchid Festival is celebrated in October in Concepcion, a village located east of Santa Cruz city.
