Jerte Valley and Cherry Blossom Festival

Jerte Valley located in the province of Cáceres, becomes a breathtaking sight in spring. As the cherry trees bloom, the valley transforms into a stunning landscape that feels straight out of a fairytale. Walking along the winding paths amidst the cherry blossoms is like entering a magical realm, where the wonders of nature reveal themselves at every corner.

Eleven charming villages invite you to explore the Valley, located north of Cáceres, and we suggest traveling by car for the best experience. You can choose between two scenic routes – a circular one and a linear path – that will lead you through the stunning cherry blossoms. This breathtaking display, which typically lasts around ten days from mid-March to early April, marks an important event in the local calendar: the Cherry Blossom Festival. This festival brings together culture, music, delicious food, and various exhibitions centered around the cherry tree. Additionally, a variety of activities are planned from March through early May.
