Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam
The Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam is among the oldest botanical gardens globally. Established in 1638 by the Amsterdam city council as the "Hortus Medicus", it served as a training ground for doctors and pharmacists. Today, the garden and its greenhouses are home to around 4,000 plant species from various parts of the world.
