Girona Flower Festival (Temps de Flors) begins with a group of young entrepreneurs who, back in 1954, took the initiative to host the inaugural "Concurso Provincial Exhibition of Flowers" in the lobby of the Municipal Theatre.
As the years went by, the festival blossomed. Initially modest, it soon expanded to the Hall of Parchments Public Library and then to the Monastery of Sant Pere de Galligants. Eventually, it found a home at the Convent and Cloister of Santo Domingo. Over time, the celebration spread to encompass various courtyards and gardens throughout the Old Town, including the Jury square, the cloister of the Cathedral square, and the beautiful gardens of Narcissus Figueras.
