Garden of Isola Bella

On Isola Bella, which means "beautiful island" in Italian, you"ll find a stunning Italian Baroque garden that took 40 years to complete, from 1631 to 1671, located on Lago Maggiore in Italy.

The garden"s highlight is the Teatro Massimo, featuring ten terraces bursting with a vibrant array of flowers and plants. Statues, obelisks, and fountains blend seamlessly with the lush greenery across these magnificent terraces, culminating in the statue of a unicorn at the top. This unicorn represents the Borromeo family, the island"s aristocratic owners for over 500 years.
