Each year, actresses in vibrant costumes glide along floats adorned with beautiful flowers, delighting the crowd by showering them with blossoms. This flower parade is a spectacular event that has become a hallmark of the Côte d’Azur.

To trace the roots of this festival, we must journey back to 1876, when the inaugural Flower Parade took place on the Promenade des Anglais, thanks to Andriot Saëtone. Initially, it was a simple exchange of flowers meant to entertain tourists, but it quickly evolved into a celebration honoring the hard work of local growers.

Since 2005, the themes of the Flower Parades have been aligned with those of the carnival parades.
