El Palmeral de San Antón. The second biggest palm grove in Europe.
The Orihuela Palm Grove is a collection of date palm trees that are carefully cultivated and arranged along the edges of terraces, roads, and irrigation channels. This palm grove takes on a crescent shape and covers an area of about 637,400 square meters. Its unique form is significantly shaped by its surroundings, being protected by the Sierra de Orihuela to the north, the Monte de San Miguel to the south, and the Oriolet to the west. The combination of its distinctive shape and its location near the mountains, adjacent to the Orihuela orchard, has created a remarkable agricultural system that blends historical significance with the advanced water management techniques developed by the Muslims.
