The Wallace Desert Garden has enhanced the Boyce Thompson Arboretum (BTA), which now features an impressive array of desert plants from various regions, including the United States, Mexico, Australia, Madagascar, India, China, Japan, Israel, South America, the Middle East, Africa, the Mediterranean, and the Arabian Peninsula. In total, BTA boasts 4,025 taxa and 20,000 plants spread across 135 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. Nestled within 372 acres of picturesque upland Sonoran Desert and offering nearly five miles of trails, BTA is not only Arizona’s oldest and largest botanical garden but also a premier destination for tourists in the state.
