Carved into the limestone cliffs 2,000 meters above sea level, these ancient terraced gardens bloom every spring, fueling a centuries-old rose water industry.

🌸 The Damask Bloom & Heritage – Over 90 families cultivate the rare Damask Rose across terraced orchards. The harvest yields thousands of liters of “Attar,” the smoky, organic rose water unique to this region. This artisanal process remains a cornerstone of Omani cultural identity and a luxury export.
🏔️ High-Altitude Agritourism – Located at an elevation of 2,000+ meters, the festival attracts thousands of “cool-climate” seekers during the peak spring months. Visitors can hike through the 3,000-year-old terraces, participate in the harvest, and witness the traditional distillation process in clay ovens (Duhjan).
