🌸 HortiFlora: A Blossoming Success in Ethiopia’s Flower Industry 🌸

The horticulture and floriculture sector in Ethiopia has seen remarkable growth over the last few decades, establishing itself as a significant player in the global market. Today, Ethiopia stands out on the world stage as one of the top exporters of cut flowers. HortiFlora Expo provides a fantastic opportunity to showcase Ethiopia’s vibrant floricultural and horticultural industries, allowing the country to present its offerings to a global audience. This Expo will act as a hub for both national and international suppliers looking to connect with Ethiopian growers, as well as for Ethiopian growers eager to engage with international buyers of flowers and fresh produce.

The 2025 edition of HortiFlora, held at Addis Ababa’s Millennium Hall, marked a significant milestone in Ethiopia’s horticultural and floricultural landscape. Organized by HPP Exhibitions in collaboration with the Ethiopian Horticulture Producers Exporters Association (EHPEA), the event showcased Ethiopia’s growing prominence as a global flower exporter.

A Record-Breaking Event

This year’s fair featured over 140 exhibitors, including renowned companies like Abyssinia Flowers, AQ Roses, Tinaw Business S.C., and Maranque Plants. The exhibition not only highlighted Ethiopia’s diverse flower varieties but also introduced fresh produce such as strawberries and beans, reflecting the country’s expanding agricultural sector.

International Participation and Networking Opportunities

The event attracted participants from approximately 35 countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, Russia, Australia, and various Middle Eastern nations. Structured networking sessions, buyer-seller meetups, and farm tours provided attendees with valuable opportunities to engage with industry leaders and explore potential collaborations.
