Every spring since 1896, the historic “Mayor Dimitrios Zomopoulos” Park transforms into a sea of color for the Kifisia Flower Exhibition, Athens’ most beloved botanical tradition. Spanning over 130 years, this event blends Belle Époque charm with modern landscape architecture, offering a sensory escape filled with rare blooms and cultural festivities.
Highlights:
🌸 Rare Floral Collections: Wander through themed gardens featuring rare plants and thousands of roses, gardenias, and lavender bushes that scent the entire grove.
🏛️ Living History: Explore a park originally built in 1885 to appease residents disturbed by the “Beast” steam train, now home to historic stone fountains and elegant pavilions.
🎨 Culture & Sustainability: Enjoy evening concerts under ancient plane trees, attend eco-friendly workshops on “smart” balcony gardening, or visit the special Moroccan guest pavilion.
