The Sculpture Park at Waitakaruru Arboretum

The Sculpture Park at Waitakaruru Arboretum is a former greywacke quarry which has evolved into a beautiful arboretum over the last 32 years. Spanning 17.5 hectares, it serves as a foundation for a distinctive art-in-nature experience that sparks creativity, promotes exploration, and supports both mental and physical well-being.

There are numerous layers of intrigue to captivate a wide variety of visitors. With over 100 sculptures on display at any given moment, the stroll through the park offers something for everyone’s artistic preferences. The park Trust organizes an annual exhibition along with regular local events and workshops focused on crafts and the arts.
