Timaru Botanic Gardens, one of the oldest in the region, will delight you with its impressive and varied collections, including Australian plants, conifers, and numerous rose species. A particularly noteworthy area is the border featuring native plants from the Canterbury region. You can also find endangered plants from around the globe in part of the conservatory complex, along with a fern house nearby.
As you enter the Timaru Botanic Garden, the stunning display of bedding plants immediately catches your eye, but the beauty of the trees scattered throughout the garden is equally captivating. At the heart of the garden lies a large expanse of water formed by two ponds teeming with waterfowl.
