Auckland Botanic Gardens is a relatively new garden that has transformed gently rolling farmland into a beautiful green space. Thanks to its mild temperate climate, the gardens showcase a diverse range of plant species. The collections of native plants highlight those that naturally grow in the northern regions of New Zealand, and there’s even a special area dedicated to showcasing threatened plant species.
The garden spans an impressive 64 hectares (160 acres) and is home to over 10,000 different plants.
