The Quranic Botanic Garden (QBG) is a first-of-its-kind global destination, bridging the gap between Islamic heritage and modern botanical science. Located in Education City, this living museum cultivates the plant species mentioned in the Holy Quran and Hadith, serving as a sanctuary for conservation, education, and spiritual reflection.
Highlights:
🌸 Ethnobotanical Sanctuary – Preserves and displays 60+ plant species mentioned in religious texts, categorized into Mediterranean and desert environments. This specialized collection focuses on the scientific and medicinal properties of plants like Sidra, Fig, and Olive, linking ancient wisdom with modern wellness.
🌍 Environmental Education Hub – Engages over 10,000 students annually through its “Gharas” campaign and environmental research programs. As a member of Qatar Foundation, the garden plays a strategic role in Qatar’s National Vision 2030 by promoting biodiversity and the restoration of native flora in the region.
