Pretoria National Botanical Gardens (NBG) spans 76 hectares and was established in 1946 in the eastern suburbs of South Africa"s administrative capital. The garden features a striking 35-meter-high quartzite outcrop that divides it into two sections. Visitors can enjoy a paved nature trail that allows them to explore this ridge. The remainder of the garden is beautifully landscaped with indigenous South African plants, highlighting savanna and forest ecosystems. Additionally, the Pretoria NBG is home to the headquarters of the South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI).
