Lotus Blossom Festival

The Lotus Blossom Festival is a unique summer flower and eco-tourism event held in the Atyrau Region, Kazakhstan. Taking place from late July to late August, the festival celebrates the rare blooming of wild lotus flowers in the delta of the Kigash River—one of the few places in the world where lotuses grow naturally at such northern latitudes.

Visitors come to witness vast lotus fields stretching across the water, combined with traditional Kazakh culture, performances, and nature-based activities. The festival blends natural beauty, cultural heritage, and sustainable tourism, making it one of Kazakhstan’s most distinctive seasonal events.
